Uzbekistan, Serbia discuss trade, investment ties

Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry adviser Jamil Maksudi has met Serbian business representatives, including Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice-President Mihailo Vesovic, to discuss expanding trade and investment ties between the two countries.

The talks took place ahead of the Uzbek president’s visit to Serbia, according to UzDaily.

The discussions focused on the Uzbekistan-Serbia Business Council, joint investment projects and strengthening direct contacts between companies.

Agriculture, ICT and light industry were identified as areas with potential for further cooperation. The sides also discussed trade conditions and opportunities to make use of GSP+ benefits.
