08 September 2026 10:45
Uzbekistan plans to put state-owned assets worth around 100 trillion Uzbek soums ($8.48 billion) up for sale as part of its ongoing privatisation programme, the State Assets Management Agency said.
The assets include state stakes in 84 companies, 1,200 real estate properties and approximately 8,000 hectares of land, Caliber.Az reports per Uzbek media.
In addition, 85 enterprises are set to be reorganised or liquidated, while 84 properties that previously failed to attract buyers will be offered at auction with a starting price of 1 million soums.
The government expects the planned sales to generate at least 14 trillion soums by the end of the year, according to the agency’s press service.
