Uzbekistan, US move to boost business ties
Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and spouse of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held talks in Washington, D.C. with Sergio Gora, co-chair of the U.S.–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, during her official visit to the United States.
According to Mirziyoyeva's post on Telegram, the meeting focused on key issues of bilateral business cooperation and took place ahead of the formal launch of the Council’s activities, Caliber.Az reports.
She noted that the Council is expected to serve as an effective platform for strengthening commercial ties between Uzbekistan and the United States.
Mirziyoyeva also emphasised that the initiative is supported by the strong political commitment of both countries’ presidents, which she said would help advance deeper economic engagement between the two nations.
