Vatican prepares for Pope's visit to Ukraine

Pope Francis is going to visit Ukraine. On August 6, he met Ukraine's Ambassador to the Vatican Andrii Yurash.

The ambassador made the remarks on his Twitter page, according to Obozrevatel.

The pontiff may come to Kyiv even before his visit to Kazakhstan.

"I am very close to Ukraine and I want to express this closeness through my visit to Ukraine," the Pope said at the meeting.

Yurash stated that interactions with the Pope inspire him, especially when there is an opportunity to discuss and promote issues such as the Pope's visit to Ukraine.
