Venezuela condemns US violations of sovereignty at UN meeting PHOTO
Venezuela’s UN Permanent Representative, Samuel Moncada, met with Somalia’s UN envoy, Abukar Dahir Osman, the current UN Security Council chair, and condemned US violations of Venezuelan sovereignty.
In a Telegram, Venezuela Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto stated that during the meeting, Moncada reiterated Caracas’s position, denouncing violations of Venezuelan sovereignty and accusing the US of the ‘illegal abduction’ of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Lady Cilia Flores, Caliber.Az reports.
The Venezuelan side stated that US actions undermine international law and show disregard for the Latin American and Caribbean Peace Zone.
Caracas emphasised its intention to continue presenting its position and “spreading the truth of the Venezuelan people” on international platforms.
