Venezuela requests emergency UN Security Council meeting Photo

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto said on January 3 that Caracas has requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council following US military strikes against the country.

In a statement, the minister said the request was made in response to US aggression and emphasised Venezuela’s appeal to international law and multilateral mechanisms, Caliber.Az reports. 

“No cowardly attack will be able to defeat the strength of this people, who will emerge victorious,” he wrote.
