Vessel seized off UAE coast, moved toward Iranian waters, UKMTO says

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported the seizure of a vessel anchored off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, which is allegedly being taken towards Iran.

It said in a statement that the incident happened 38 nautical miles northeast of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, Caliber.Az reports, citing the UKMTO.

“The CSO has reported that the vessel has been taken by unauthorised personnel whist at anchor and is now bound for Iranian Territorial Waters. UKMTO continue to investigate,” the statement added.
