Veto on UN resolutions on ceasefire in Gaza Strip unacceptable Colombian President says

Colombian President Gustavo Petro on his social networks called the use of the veto on UN resolutions on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip unacceptable.

"It's a horror on earth. You can't use a veto at the UN to allow that. The spirit that brought the Nazis to the dock in Nuremberg must be revived," TASS reports.

Earlier, the United States in the UN Security Council vetoed a draft UN resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Great Britain abstained.

Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyanskiy, said that the United States had imposed a death sentence on thousands of residents of the enclave by blocking the UN Security Council resolution on the Gaza Strip.
