Victory parade to be held in Khankendi on November 8
A Victory Day parade will be held in Khankendi tomorrow, November 8.
Preparations for the Victory Day parade are nearing completion, per Report.
Units of the Defence Ministry, Internal Troops of the Interior Ministry, State Border Guard Service, State Security Service and special forces will take part in the solemn procession.
Trophy military equipment will be demonstrated at the parade.
It should be noted that on December 28, 1991, the town of Khankendi and the village of Karkijahan, which is of strategic importance for the adjacent territories, were occupied by the Armenian armed forces. On September 19-20 this year, after local anti-terrorist activities in Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Army liberated the town of Khankendi and the settlement of Karkijahan from separatists. On October 15, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev raised the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the town of Khankendi.
