On July 3, 2025, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Fuzuli district to take part in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

A formal honour guard was assembled at Fuzuli International Airport to welcome the high-ranking guest, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

President Mirziyoyev was warmly received by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, Adil Kerimli, Emin Huseynov, the Azerbaijani president’s special representative for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, along with several other senior officials.
