28 March 2023 19:45
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed to prepare amendments to the law on the entry, exit, and transit of foreigners and to extend the visa-free stay for them from 15 to 45 days.
"Most cabinet members agreed with the proposal to increase the visa-free stay in Vietnam for tourists from a number of countries from 15 to 45 days, and the period of stay on an online visa from 30 to 90 days," Vietnam Net reports.
The next government meeting will be held in May.
As the portal recalls, the increase in visa-free stays applies to tourists from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Denmark, France, Britain, Japan, South Korea, and several other countries.
Currently, Vietnam offers a one-month e-visa for tourists from 80 countries.
