Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte discussed future security guarantees for Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
The Head of State thanked the interlocutor for his country's accession to the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine adopted at the NATO Summit in Vilnius by the leaders of the G7, which was later joined by 12 more countries, including the Netherlands, Ukraine President's website informs.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte discussed future security guarantees for Ukraine in the framework of the Joint Declaration, which should be based on the key role of the Netherlands in the coalition of fighter jets.
The President of Ukraine also told the interlocutor about the situation on the frontline and outlined the current defense needs of the Ukrainian army, in particular, artillery, armored vehicles and air defense systems to protect the infrastructure of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
The parties exchanged positive assessments of the meeting of diplomatic advisors in Saudi Arabia and discussed the next steps in the preparation of the Global Peace Summit.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Mark Rutte to take part in the Crimea Platform Summit.
