Vucic asserts sovereignty in response to Biden and NATO's Kosovo remarks
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has reacted to statements by White House chief Joe Biden and former NATO European forces commander Wesley Clark regarding NATO's intervention in Yugoslavia in 1999.
"I see they are fixated on us. I must emphasize that Serbia neither poses a threat nor will it do so. However, Serbia will never again become anyone's prey, as it was in 1999. Serbia today is serious, responsible, and seeks peace, but will not tolerate threats to our people's freedom and homeland," Vucic stated, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Biden, speaking at the 75th NATO summit on July 10, highlighted NATO's intervention in the Balkans to restore peace and halt ethnic cleansing. Clark advocated for increased NATO support for Ukraine, citing Kosovo's situation 25 years ago as a precedent.
