Warsaw anticipates increased US troop presence in coming months

Poland is expecting the deployment of an additional 5,000 US troops within the next three months, according to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

The planned reinforcement would bring the total number of US soldiers stationed in Poland to around 11,000.

Head of the National Security Bureau Bartosz Grodecki, who recently returned from talks with the Pentagon, said Washington considers Warsaw a model ally.

Poland is also in discussions with the United States about establishing a permanent American military base in the country. According to media reports, a final decision is expected within 6–12 months.

A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Polish President Karol Nawrocki is scheduled for the coming months to address the issue.
