Washington ramps up oil shipments as global supply chains shift
02 April 2026 17:34
US oil exports hit a record 15 million barrels in March, driven by ongoing tensions in the Middle East, according to analytics firm Kpler.
The United States has become the world’s leading oil exporter after supplies from the UAE and Qatar declined, Caliber.Az reports, citing Canadian media.
U.S. shipments to Japan reached approximately 61,000 barrels per day, the highest daily volume since December 2021.
Additionally, Washington is exporting around 100,000 barrels per day to Venezuela, nearly double the volume in January 2026.
Analytics company Vortexa also reported that U.S. oil exports totalled 11.5 million barrels last month, marking a four-year high.
