In Brazil, gunmen killed a well-known theatre actor who had been helping fight crime, in front of his children and parents.
The attack on 33-year-old Moisés Trindade Barbosa Ferreira took place on February 23 in Salvador, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Unknown assailants arrived at the actor’s home and opened fire with automatic weapons in front of his children and parents. Ferreira suffered severe injuries and could not be saved by medical teams. Police are searching for the perpetrators.
Ferreira had performed with several local theatre troupes and in 2025, opened a popular bar that became a cultural hub in the neighbourhood. He and his colleagues staged plays depicting life in the city’s poor districts.
In addition, Ferreira maintained a blog dedicated to fighting crime. “He had so many plans and dreams. We fought to get many people out of the world of crime,” his friend Alan Cardoso said.
