Which banks in Azerbaijan accept money transfers from Russia?
Restrictions on fast money transfers between Russia and Azerbaijan arose due to sanctions imposed after the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The suspension of transfers in rubles by some systems had a negative impact on the activities of Azerbaijani banks in this direction.
Over the past month, 11 of the 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan have suspended transfers in rubles, seven banks - in dollars, APA reports.
Fast money transfers from Russia have been completely frozen by three banks (Muğanbank, Accessbank and Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan).
In the country, nine banks offer dollar transfers from Russia, and seven banks - ruble transfers with conversion into manats. "Bank Respublika" converts transfers over $3,500 into manats, and Bank Avrasiya - over $ 2,000.
BTB Bank, Yelo Bank, and Expressbank told APA that transfers are provided in dollars or manats, depending on the funds available at the cash desk.
Azer-Turk Bank reported that fast money transfers are carried out only in Shirvan and Nakhchivan branches. The bank accepts money transfers from Russia in both dollars and rubles, but dollar transfers from Azerbaijan to Russia have been suspended.
