White House: Trump must feel Tehran is ready for talks

The United States and Iran are not currently engaged in any negotiations, and that will remain the case until President Trump feels that the Iranians are genuinely ready to return to the negotiating table, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has said.

In an interview with Fox News, she noted what President Trump’s number one goal has been and will always be is to ensure that Iran can never obtain a nuclear weapon, Caliber.Az reports.

“No negotiations are happening right now, and this will continue until the president feels that maybe they come to the table in a meaningful way. We have not seen that yet,” she stressed.
