White House: US fulfilling Iran ceasefire commitments

The United States is meeting its commitments under the ceasefire agreement with Iran, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Monday (June 29), adding that Washington would respond forcefully to any further attacks.

Speaking in an interview with US media, Leavitt said the United States had honoured its obligations under the ceasefire following recent hostilities with Iran. She said commercial vessels had come under attack and that Washington had responded.

"We are fulfilling our obligations under the ceasefire. There were attacks on commercial vessels, and we responded. Violence will be met with violence," the White House spokeswoman stressed.
