WHO: No more hospitals left in Rafah
02 June 2024 10:32
The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported the closure of the last of three hospitals operating in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.
"There is practically no medical care in the city of Rafah," WHO said in the social network X, according to Vesti.ru.
The organization specified that the last working hospital, Al-Helal Al-Emirati, stopped working on May 30.
Only one field hospital is partially functioning in the city, and even now, due to the fighting in the vicinity, it can only provide basic services and only to patients inside.
WHO noted that the organization's ability to effectively support the health system in the Gaza Strip has been severely compromised.
