Widespread blackouts hit Ukraine after massive Russian drone, missile strikes PHOTO
Several regions of Ukraine have been left without power following a fresh wave of Russian attacks targeting the country’s energy infrastructure.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported that nearly all areas of Rivne, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi regions have been affected.
Power outages were also reported in Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said that more than 600 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and dozens of missiles were launched across Ukrainian territory. The majority of these strikes targeted energy facilities, causing significant disruption to electricity supplies.
A map released alongside the report shows the approximate flight paths of the drones and missiles, highlighting the damage inflicted on key energy infrastructure across the country.
