Work on new building for Jewish school continues in Baku
The construction of a new building for the Jewish school "Chabad Or-Avner" (Ohr Avner Chabad Jewish Day School Azerbaijan) continues in Baku's Nasimi district, in the very centre of the capital.
A two-storey building is being built at the intersection of Rasul Rza and Dilara Aliyeva streets, near the Winter Park Plaza building and the synagogue for Ashkenazi Jews (next to Winter Boulevard), Caliber.Az reports.
The customer of the new building, which is adjacent to the synagogue, is the school itself, now located on November 8 Avenue in Baku's Khatai district, according to the construction site's information plate.
The height of the building will be 8.85 metres, dimensions – 12.9 by 11.5 metres. The project of the building has passed the state examination. At the moment, the second floor of the school is being built, work is underway on the construction of concrete structures.
It is planned to complete the construction by the new academic year.
