World Economic Forum's 53rd meeting officially opens in Davos

The 53rd meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) has opened in Davos, Switzerland.
The ceremony was broadcast on the WEF website.
During the opening of the meeting, the WEF founder Klaus Schwab made a welcoming speech, who stated the importance of the forum as a platform for meeting interested parties. A number of cultural figures were also awarded the Crystal Awards.
The WEF will be held until January 20. The motto of the forum in 2023 is "Cooperation in a fragmented world". According to the organisers, this time Davos will be visited by a record number of participants - more than 2,700 people. The Russian delegation does not attend the forum.
