World Muslim League condemns Iranian attack on Saudi residential area
On March 9, the World Muslim League condemned Iran’s attack on a residential area in Al-Harj Province, southeast of Riyadh, calling it part of ongoing aggression by Tehran against Saudi Arabia and other regional countries, SANA reports.
Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, stated that the attacks violate religious values, as well as international and humanitarian law.
He emphasised that the assaults occurred despite Saudi Arabia’s declared commitment to regional stability.
Al-Issa expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in protecting the security, sovereignty, and citizens of the country.
The attack on March 8 in Al-Harj Province killed two people and injured twelve after a “military projectile” struck the area. Iran continues strikes across the Persian Gulf following US and Israeli attacks on its territory.
