World's largest consumer tech trade fair kicks off in Las Vegas CES 2026
Companies both large and small are giving consumers a first look at their latest innovations during CES 2026, the world’s largest consumer technology trade show currently taking place in Las Vegas.
As anticipated, artificial intelligence was at the center of nearly every showcase, with tech firms seeking AI-driven products to capture customer interest — from LG’s new laundry-folding robot to Uber’s robotaxi and Lego’s smart bricks, as noted by several media outlets such as Mashable.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang unveiled Cosmos, an AI foundation model trained on massive datasets capable of simulating environments governed by real-world physics, and also introduced Alpamayo, an AI model tailored specifically for autonomous vehicles. He further announced the company’s next-generation AI superchip platform, Vera Rubin, which has already entered full production.
Hyundai-owned Boston Dynamics publicly demonstrated its humanoid robot Atlas for the first time at CES, noting that a version designed to assist in car assembly is already in production and will be deployed by 2028 at its American EV facility near Savannah, Georgia.

Lego’s chief product and marketing officer, Julia Goldin, announced a new Star Wars partnership, standing in front of a Chewbacca figure, and showcased Lego’s smart bricks equipped with sensors that detect light and distance, providing coordinated responses like lights and sounds when used together.

AI in transportation also took the spotlight, with Uber unveiling its robotaxi, alongside autonomous vehicle developments from Lucid Motors and Nuro, featuring an Uber-designed in-cabin experience.
Another highlight was LG’s CLOiD Home Robot, designed to assist with household tasks such as loading laundry into washing machines.

The annual fair typically lasts a few days in Las Vegas and will run until January 9 this year. It is being organized by the Consumer Technology Association and provides a platform for advances across industries like robotics, healthcare, vehicles, wearables, gaming and more to be showcased to customers.
