World's second longest-living woman dies at age of 116
The oldest resident and the second longest-lived woman in the world, Tekla Juniewicz, died in Poland at the age of 116.
Tekla Juniewicz was born on June 10, 1906, in the village of Krupsko, 40 km from Lviv, TASS reports.
Since the end of World War II, she has lived in Silesia, in southern Poland.
In 1980, a woman lost her husband. Until the age of 103, she managed life on her own, after that her grandchildren took care of her.
In her inner circle, it is noted that the centenarian has always been active, was in a good mood, and loved to joke, read and play cards.
The oldest centenarian on the Earth, whose age is confirmed by documents, is the nun Lucille Randon (Sister Andre) from France, who was born on February 11, 1904, now she is 118 years old.
