WSJ: Bill Gates admits to extramarital affairs involving Russian women
Microsoft founder Bill Gates apologised to employees at his charitable foundation for his ties to financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual crimes. During a company-wide meeting, Gates also admitted to engaging in extramarital affairs.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Gates said he had relationships with women from Russia.
“I did nothing illicit… It was a huge mistake to spend time with Epstein… I did have affairs, one with a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events, and one with a Russian nuclear physicist who I met through business activities,” Gates told the newspaper.
Gates emphasised that these women were not connected to Epstein’s victims. He stated he had no involvement in Epstein’s crimes and never interacted with women from Epstein’s circle.
In late January, the U.S. Department of Justice released three million pages from the Epstein case. Among these documents were two letters Epstein sent to his own email on July 13, 2013, claiming Gates had sexual encounters with “Russian girls” who allegedly infected him with sexually transmitted infections, requiring antibiotic treatment.
