13 May 2026 15:18
Mossad Director David Barnea secretly visited the United Arab Emirates at least twice during the war with Iran to coordinate operations, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing Arab officials and a source familiar with the matter.
The report indicated that Barnea travelled to the UAE in March and April.
According to the publication, Israel and the UAE maintained close security coordination during the conflict. Israel deployed Iron Dome air defence batteries and military personnel to the UAE to help protect against Iranian missile attacks.
The UAE also carried out strikes against Iran, including an attack on an oil refinery on Iran’s Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf, the newspaper added.
