XChat messaging app by Elon Musk’s X Corp launches on App Store
The XChat messaging application developed by X Corp, the company owned by Elon Musk, has been released on the Apple App Store, according to TechCrunch.
The new app expands communication options for users of the X platform, allowing them to send text messages, share files, and conduct audio and video calls. It also supports group chats, positioning XChat as a broader communications tool within the company’s ecosystem.
Developers say the application is equipped with end-to-end encryption and a set of privacy-focused features. These include the ability to edit and delete messages for all chat participants, self-destructing messages, and an option to disable screenshots in conversations.
Despite its global rollout, XChat is currently not available for download in the Russian version of the App Store.
