Xi Jinping heads to US for talks with Trump

Chinese President Xi Jinping has travelled to the United States for a state visit at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.

According to China Central Television, Xi left Beijing aboard a special aircraft on the afternoon of September 23.

He is accompanied by his wife, Peng Liyuan, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, and other officials.
