Xi “very happy” with Hormuz opening, Trump says

US President Donald Trump said that Chinese President Xi Jinping is “very happy” about the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as he also expressed optimism ahead of their planned meeting in May.

According to Caliber.Az, citing a post published on Truth Social, Trump commented on the situation surrounding the strategic waterway and upcoming talks with the Chinese leader.

"President Xi is very happy that the Strait of Hormuz is open and/or rapidly opening. Our meeting in China will be a special one and, potentially, Historic. I look forward to being with President Xi — Much will be accomplished!" Trump wrote.
