Yemen launches missile on Israeli soil, triggering siren sounds
The Israeli Air Force has detected the launch of a missile from Yemen aimed at Israeli territory.
Air defence systems are currently engaged in intercepting the threat, according to a statement from the IDF’s official Telegram channel.
Residents are urged to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command.
Sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the missile launch from Yemen.
Further details are still being clarified.
On June 15, Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis targeted Israel in coordination with Iran, the first time an Iran-aligned group has publicly announced cooperation on attacks with Tehran.
The Yemeni group struck central Israel's Jaffa with several ballistic missiles in the last 24 hours, military spokesperson Yehya Sarea said in a televised address.
