Prime Minister Martin emphasised that Ireland will continue its steadfast support for Ukraine.
During the visit, Zelenskyy and the Irish leadership are scheduled to hold bilateral talks and participate in the opening of the Ireland-Ukraine Economic Forum, an event aimed at strengthening trade, business, and investment ties between the two nations.
In addition to the forum, President Zelenskyy will meet with Irish President Catherine Connolly and Foreign Minister Helen McEntee to discuss further cooperation. The Ukrainian delegation involved in peace negotiations is also arriving in Ireland on December 2. Zelenskyy noted that the delegation will gradually present Ukraine’s position on the current stage of the negotiations.
The visit follows Zelenskyy’s recent trip to France, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron.
After their discussions, President Macron announced that the "Coalition of the Willing" has finalised preparations for security guarantees for Ukraine, which are expected to be coordinated with the United States in the near future.
