Zelenskyy dismisses ambassadors of Ukraine to Georgia, Slovakia and Portugal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued decrees on June 24 on the dismissal of several Ukrainian ambassadors, in particular in Georgia, Slovakia, and Portugal.
By his decrees, Zelenskyy dismissed Ambassador to Georgia Ihor Dolgov, Ambassador to Slovakia Yuri Mushka and Ambassador to Portugal Inna Ognivets, Evropeyskaya Pravda reports.
All three ambassadors had been in office for a long time and were appointed by the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko.
Inna Ognivets started work in October 2015, Yuri Mushka - in November 2016, Ihor Dolgov - in February 2017.
It is worth noting that Dolgov was recalled for consultations on March 1 because of Tbilisi's unfriendly steps amid the Russian military invasion.
In June, a new Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych, began his work, replacing Andriy Deshchytsia.
