Zelenskyy: Fighter jets could decide Ukrainian victory

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that fighter jets provided by the allies could decide the course of the war.

The Ukrainian leader said in an interview with CNN that the issue of providing F-16 fighter jets is complicated and Ukraine is now waiting for this decision to be made.

“We really need this and really appeal to the president that they could start training Ukrainian pilots, and President Biden told me that it will be worked upon … I believe that the United States will give us the opportunity to defend our skies,” Zelenskyy added.

He also said that Ukraine's receipt of Western fighter jets could decide the course of the war.

"I told Biden that we need these planes, they will help us defend ourselves. That's why we need them urgently," the Ukrainian president stressed.
