Zelenskyy: France ready to cooperate on anti-ballistic defence
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said France is ready to cooperate on anti-ballistic defence following a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the two leaders discussed coordination in countering ongoing Russian attacks.
According to Zelenskyy, who shared details of the call on his Telegram channel, the talks focused in part on France’s support for anti-ballistic systems and broader efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence capabilities.
“France is ready to work on anti-ballistic systems. This is a strong decision and an important step. We also discussed strengthening our capabilities to repel Russian attacks already now. Thank you for the readiness to strengthen our air defence.
We also spoke about the European track and the opening of all negotiation clusters in the near future. France supports Ukraine and understands how important this step is for all Ukrainians.
Emmanuel informed me about his visit to African countries. We discussed the importance of joint coordination in this direction, as it is equally important for Ukraine,” Zelenskyy noted.
