Zelenskyy lands in Munich to advance European security initiatives

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Munich for a series of high-level security meetings and strategic discussions, the president announced on his Telegram channel.

Among the key initiatives, Zelenskyy highlighted the establishment of the first joint Ukrainian-German drone manufacturing enterprise, aimed at expanding domestic defence capabilities and fostering technological cooperation. The program is expected to serve as a cornerstone for broader European collaboration on security and defence technologies.

“Today in Munich, Germany. An important day, with new steps toward our shared security — for Ukraine and for Europe. Plans include the first joint Ukrainian-German drone production enterprise, as well as bilateral and multilateral meetings with partners,” Zelenskyy said, emphasizing the strategic significance of the visit.

The president stressed the importance of scaling up joint production, strengthening resilience, and improving coordination within Europe’s broader security architecture. These measures, he said, are essential for ensuring that the continent can respond effectively to evolving threats.

“The most important goal we can achieve together is to end the war with a dignified peace and establish reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and all of Europe — so that no one in Europe fears being left unprotected,” Zelenskyy added, highlighting Ukraine’s vision for a stable and secure Europe.
