Zelenskyy launches urgent audit of state defence companies
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an urgent audit of the country’s state defence companies, pledging that all information on any violations will be forwarded to law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies.
According to RBC-Ukraine, citing Zelenskyy’s official Telegram channel, the President discussed preparations for the upcoming government session with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
He noted that the meeting will include significant decisions and highlighted that audits of state energy companies, covering all relevant financial operations, are already underway.
Zelenskyy confirmed that a comprehensive review of state defence companies and their contracts has been prepared. He emphasised that the audit will be full-scale and as thorough as possible, covering all aspects of the defence sector.
“I have instructed the Prime Minister to report weekly on the results of the defence sector audit and to inform the Ukrainian public on a weekly basis as well,” Zelenskyy said. “All identified violations will be referred to law enforcement and anti-corruption authorities.”
Additionally, the President stated that he had directed the Prime Minister to initiate an urgent audit by the Accounting Chamber of ARMA (Agency for the Recovery and Management of Assets) and FGIU (State Property Fund of Ukraine).
