Zelenskyy, Macron discuss situation around Zaporizhzhya NPP
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have discussed the situation around the Zaporizhzhya NPP in a telephone conversation.
Zelenskyy made the remarks about his conversation on Twitter, according to Caliber.Az.
"I continued the dialogue with Emmanuel Macron. I informed him about the situation at the front and the nuclear terrorism of the Russian Federation at the NPP. I thanked France for the significant defence support," he wrote.
The Ukrainian president also stressed that during the talks with Macron, they raised the issue of strengthening macro-financial support for Ukraine and discussed challenges in the field of food security that arose against the background of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
He noted that it is now necessary to increase the sanctions pressure on the aggressor country.
The previous conversation between Zelenskyy and Macron took place on August 1. Then the two presidents discussed defence cooperation.
