Zelenskyy: Military support, diplomacy must go hand in hand PHOTO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasised that diplomatic efforts and tangible support for the country must advance simultaneously.
In a Telegram post, he noted that Russia continues its attacks on Ukraine, making it especially critical to strengthen air defence systems to protect civilians, communities, and critical infrastructure, per Caliber.Az reports.
“Every air defence system delivered saves lives and strengthens the chances for diplomacy,” Zelenskyy said. He stressed that every meeting should yield concrete outcomes: new air defence solutions, additional aid packages, and increased opportunities to secure Ukraine’s skies.
During a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, the two leaders discussed Ukraine’s ability to resist Russian aggression, bolstering its defence, and support measures that reinforce the country’s diplomatic position. Zelenskyy also noted that detailed discussions were held on Ukraine’s diplomatic strategy on the international stage.
Today in Paris, the largest meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” is underway, bringing together heads of state, international organisation leaders, ministers, and ambassadors. Zelenskyy said that important political decisions supporting Ukraine are expected to emerge from the event.
