Zelenskyy praises allies for boosting Ukraine’s air defence

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commended international partners for strengthening the country’s air defence capabilities amid another Russian strike.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Russia toward Kyiv overnight. He expressed gratitude to the United States and Norway for providing a NASAMS air defence system and a corresponding missile package, as well as to France and Germany for supplying air defence missiles.

“Amid daily Russian escalation, it is important that the protection of lives receive continuous support and that such packages continue to be delivered,” Zelenskyy said.
