Zelenskyy removes former prosecutor general Kravchenko from security council PHOTO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has removed former Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko from the country’s National Security and Defence Council.

A decree published on September 29 said Kravchenko was being removed from the council, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

The NSDC website currently has a blank entry under “Prosecutor General” on the page listing its members.

Kravchenko resigned as prosecutor general on September 7, three days after another corruption scandal. A week later, Zelenskyy submitted his dismissal to parliament for approval.

Kravchenko left Ukraine the same day, reportedly on a business trip, and did not return, according to the report.

On September 17, Zelenskyy appointed Anton Kovalskyi, who had previously headed the Khmelnytskyi regional prosecutor’s office, as acting prosecutor general.
