Zelenskyy rules out granting Ukrainian citizenship to Russian tycoons
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russian oligarchs like Roman Abramovich or Oleg Deripaska will not be granted Ukrainian citizenship.
Along with this, the country will use every chance to fight the Kremlin regime, RBK-Ukraine quotes Zelenskyy as saying on June 4.
The head of state also commented on the granting of a Ukrainian passport to Russian journalist, former MP from the State Duma Alexander Nevzorov. Zelenskyy said that Nevzorov himself filed a corresponding application for granting him citizenship.
President Zelenskyy is confident that Ukraine should use different methods to fight the Russian authorities.
“If we have the opportunity to swing Russian power, we must do it, we must use any weapon,” Zelenskyy explained.
Earlier, it became known that Alexander Nevzorov and his wife Lydia were given Ukrainian citizenship.
