Zelenskyy: Russia launched over 450 drones, 30 missiles at Ukraine

Ukraine has come under one of the largest attacks in recent weeks, with Russian forces reportedly deploying more than 450 strike drones and around 30 missiles of various types, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on December 13.

Speaking on Telegram, Zelenskyy stated that the main assault targeted the country’s energy infrastructure, particularly in southern regions and Odesa Oblast.

Two people were injured in Odesa, and more than a dozen civilian facilities across the country sustained damage.

The overnight strikes left thousands of families without electricity in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts. Attacks were also reported in Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy regions.

The Ukrainian president stressed that all relevant services were working to restore electricity and water supply in the affected communities.

“It is important that everyone sees what Russia is doing. That is why we need support in everything that helps protect life and bring this war to an end: strengthening our air defences, supporting our troops at the front, enhancing our long-range capabilities, and increasing pressure on Russia,” Zelenskyy said.
