Zelenskyy: Russia strikes 10 Ukrainian regions with hundreds of drones
In the early hours of July 19, Russia carried out a large-scale combined attack against multiple regions of Ukraine, deploying over 300 attack drones and more than 30 rockets of various types.
The assault targeted at least ten oblasts (regions), resulting in casualties and widespread damage, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the attack lasted throughout the night, and the destruction of aerial targets is still ongoing — some drones remain in the sky.
Rescue operations continue following the attack.
“Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kherson, Volyn, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zhytomyr regions were affected,” the president said.
In Sumy, critical infrastructure was damaged — thousands of families are without power. Combined strikes were recorded in Shostka.
In Odesa, a missile hit a residential building — at least six people were injured, including a child. One person was killed.
In Pavlohrad, housing and important infrastructure facilities were damaged by shelling. Rescue services are working on-site, and recovery efforts are underway.
