Zelenskyy: Russia used over 100,000 foreign components in its latest attack on Ukraine
During a large-scale attack on Ukraine on the night of October 5 to 6, Russia deployed 549 weapons systems that included more than 102,000 foreign-made components, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on his Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskyy, the breakdown of foreign components found in Russian weaponry includes approximately 100,688 parts in attack drones, 1,500 in Iskander missiles, 192 in Kinzhal missiles, and 405 in Kalibr cruise missiles, Caliber.Az reports.
The Ukrainian president stated that US companies produce converters for Kh-101 missiles and Shahed/Geran drones, matrices for these UAVs and Kinzhal missiles, analogue-to-digital converters for drones and missiles, as well as various microelectronic systems used in Russian weaponry.
“At least 50 different types of microelectronic components in each Shahed drone are produced in China and Taiwan,” Zelenskyy said.
“Microcontrollers for UAVs are manufactured in Switzerland, flight-control microcomputers in the United Kingdom, optoisolators for cruise missiles in Japan, switching connectors in Germany, processors in the Netherlands, and servo drives with bearings in South Korea,” Zelenskyy listed.
