Zelenskyy says Macron to help strengthen Ukraine's air defences

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said French President Emmanuel Macron will help identify solutions to strengthen Ukraine's air defences ahead of winter.

Zelenskyy said he spoke with Macron while travelling back from Washington; the two leaders discussed the outcome of his meetings in the United States, the prospects for diplomacy, and coordinated their next steps, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

The conversation also focused on preparations for winter.

According to Zelenskyy, France will work on finding solutions to provide Ukraine with the air defence packages it needs and offer support to the country's energy sector.

In addition, Ukraine offered to assist France in combating the large-scale wildfires currently affecting the country.
