Zelenskyy says more than 100 Russian drones active over Ukraine PHOTO
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that more than one hundred Russian drones were operating over Ukrainian territory on Tuesday, warning of further waves of attacks during the day as Moscow continues its aerial campaign against critical infrastructure.
Writing on Telegram, Zelenskyy said Russian strikes had hit 14 regions with overnight attacks targeting residential areas and railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, port facilities in the Odesa region, and energy infrastructure in Poltava.
He added that Ukrainian forces had shot down or suppressed 111 drones overnight, underscoring what he described as sustained efforts to repel repeated aerial assaults.
Zelenskyy said Russia was deliberately striking civilian and transport infrastructure, causing casualties, and extended condolences to the families of those killed and injured.
He stressed the importance of maintaining international attention on the war, arguing that reduced media focus encourages further escalation. “It is important to resist every attack,” he said, calling for swift implementation of agreements reached at the leadership level and continued international support for Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.
