Zelenskyy signals readiness for Easter truce, stresses sovereignty

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is prepared for an Easter truce and is open to compromises, but will not make concessions regarding the country’s sovereignty and dignity, according to Novosti.Live.

“Normal people who value life talk about ending the war forever, not just for a few days. But we are certainly ready for any compromises—except those involving our dignity and sovereignty,” Zelenskyy said.

The president also expressed scepticism that Russia could use a brief pause to significantly regroup its forces, noting that a few days would not be enough to alter the situation on the frontlines.
