Zelenskyy сongratulates Muslims worldwide on Eid al-Adha

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended congratulations to Muslims in Ukraine and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, also known as Kurban Bayram, wishing peace, blessings, and harmony for families.

In a message published on his Telegram channel and cited by Caliber.Az, Zelenskyy emphasised the importance of safety and unity during the holiday, while also highlighting Ukraine’s ongoing efforts amid the war.

“Congratulations to Muslims in Ukraine and around the world on the holiday of Kurban Bayram, Eid al-Adha. May this holiday bring a reliable peace, blessings, and harmony to every family.”

He noted that Ukraine is working to ensure that as many families as possible can celebrate the holiday in safety.

“For its part, Ukraine is doing a lot to ensure that as many families as possible can celebrate this Kurban Bayram in real safety. We protect life here in Ukraine, in Europe, and also support the protection of life in partner countries in the Middle East, in the Gulf region, and in the South Caucasus region. Dangers must not prevail in any part of the world.”

Zelenskyy also referred to Crimea and the broader consequences of the conflict with Russia.

“We also remember our Ukrainian Crimea, from which the Russian war against Ukraine began in 2014. And we are grateful to everyone who is doing everything to support Ukraine and our people, who condemn the Russian occupation and help us bring people back from Russian captivity.”

He added that Ukraine continues efforts to secure the release of detainees.

“We remember the Crimean political prisoners of Russia and are trying to return them home, to Ukraine. It is very important that the entire free world does not forget those who are deprived of their freedom today. May this holiday support all good hearts!”

Zelenskyy concluded his message with holiday greetings:

“Kurban Bayram khayirli ve mubarek olsun!

Eid Mubarak!”
